AKP sources reveal: New developments regarding dossiers on Özgür Özel and CHP deputies
New assessments are being made in parliamentary lobbies regarding the fate of the dossiers prepared for Özgür Özel and some CHP deputies. It is stated that the AKP is maintaining its approach of not processing files during this legislative term, except for those involving crimes that have caused significant public outcry.

The approach regarding immunity dossiers for members of parliament in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has begun to clarify. It is stated that, in line with the principled stance adopted at the beginning of the legislative year, AKP officials are inclined not to process dossiers except for those involving crimes that have caused significant public outcry.
In this context, it is expected that the dossiers covering CHP Parliamentary Group Chairman Özgür Özel and some CHP deputies will also be left until the end of the term.
ALLEGATIONS REGARDING ANTALYA AND THE PARTY CONVENTION INCLUDED IN THE FILES
According to a report by the pro-government Türkiye Gazetesi, the Antalya file, which includes Özgür Özel, Veli Ağbaba, Ali Mahir Başarır, Umut Akdoğan, Cavit Arı, and Mustafa Erdem, contains allegations that money was received from Muhittin Böcek in exchange for a metropolitan mayoral candidacy.
In another file prepared in line with the statements of Özkan Yalım, there are allegations that Özgür Özel and Veli Ağbaba attempted to influence the will of the delegates at the 38th Ordinary Convention of the CHP and that the general chairmanship election process was rigged.
FEZLEKE ASSESSMENT FROM AKP SOURCES
AKP sources stated that they do not intend to put dossiers on the agenda that fall outside of categories that cause public outrage, such as terrorism, homicide, and sexual offenses.
Party sources commented, "If a file arrives regarding crimes that cause public outrage, immunity will of course be lifted. However, no action is currently being taken regarding the files in question."
IMMUNITY REMARKS FROM KILIÇDAROĞLU
On the other hand, it was stated that CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the party headquarters management advocate the view that the immunity of deputies, especially those expelled from the party, should be lifted so they can face trial.
In a television program he attended, Kılıçdaroğlu had stated, "If there were such allegations against me, I would want my immunity to be lifted and to be cleared."
