AKP Spokesperson Çelik makes statement on 'natural birth'

Ömer Çelik made important statements regarding the AKP MKYK meeting. 

Highlights from Çelik's statements are as follows:

-We extend our condolences to the entire Christian world and the Catholic world. The prudent will displayed by the Pope was an example of his fair messages throughout all processes. He had said that we cannot remain silent in the face of the targeting of unarmed civilians in Gaza. We once again convey our condolences to the Vatican state.

-We are saddened by the health issues of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, an artist and politician whom we have known for a long time. The necessary intervention has been performed and the treatment process is underway. We have known Mr. Sırrı for a long time, and we have had in-depth conversations on various topics.

-His reaching out to people who have been victimized in some way, and what he has done to strengthen our brotherhood, have manifested themselves in a way. People from different segments of Turkey have shown this ownership towards him.

-He was also strongly embracing the process of a Turkey without terrorism. During these times when the process was ongoing, we would sometimes meet, and his health condition would come up, and we would tell him to be sensitive about his health; he would say, 'fate prevents death, let's see the result of this matter and then we will focus on our health.' We are praying, and we convey our get-well wishes to all his loved ones. 

-We removed the policies of denial, rejection, and assimilation against our Kurdish citizens, which existed due to some practices in the past, by signing major democratic reforms during our governments, and this path was followed under the leadership of our President, despite threats and political assassination threats during very risky and dark times, to ensure that the tutelage over all of this was lifted.

-Important steps were taken in the past as well. Now, a brand new page has been opened with the will and historical call put forward by our President and Mr. Bahçeli. Especially when the chaotic environment the world is going through is taken into account, it is seen by everyone how valuable it is to deepen our social unity, expand the scale of our democracy, and be in greater solidarity with the peoples in our region and the different peoples among our close neighbors.

-We see that many centers that want to stain our surroundings with more blood, create more chaos, and guarantee their own interests through the politics of discord in the region are active, wanting to bring about various disaster scenarios for everyone, without distinction, towards the peoples of the region.

-Against all these centers, Turkey demonstrates this approach of brotherhood towards all peoples of the region—Turkmen, Arabs, Kurds, Sunnis, Shias, Alevis, Nusayris, Yazidis, whoever they may be—and towards all ethnic groups and all sectarian groups. We see very closely the activities of various centers trying to create discord in the region between Turks, Kurds, Turkmen, and Arabs, especially over Sunni and Shia identities. Our state and political experience possess all this accumulation. We have fought against these many times during these past periods. We have shown this resolute stance against those who try to bring disaster upon the peoples of the region.

-Of course, the goal of a Turkey without terrorism is, first and foremost, the clearest expression that Turkey must now close this page and move forward, having been freed from the issue of terrorism, against our future being held hostage through terrorism and against the creation of certain mortgages on our future, which will benefit our citizens. And we will look at this issue in this way.

-Ultimately, we will continue to maintain this will in this way to expand the scale of our democracy, increase our influence in foreign policy, and make Turkey's immune system even stronger in every field, from culture to defense, not through differences, but through shared destiny, through sharing the same fate, through sharing the same history, through shared history, through sharing the same homeland and citizenship, and with the will to share the same common future, in unity and prosperity among different ethnic groups and different sectarian groups in our country.

-The Russia-Ukraine war in our north, the establishment of a new government with the overthrow of the Assad regime in our south, the destabilizing attitude revealed by the operations of the Israeli government, and the massacre in Gaza. The tax move in the USA shows that we have entered a period where the world's power balances will be redefined. In the new era, power balances will be redefined.

 -Turkey's greatest strength is the power of its democracy. Many historical periods from the past are being invoked to try to make sense of today. 

-Without any compromise on our democracy, all processes will be viewed more strongly for the dream of a common homeland to exist. Seeing that Turkey's will to produce common prosperity for the peoples of the region is developing positively, and thanks to its will that reads the process correctly, the question of how world politics will be shaped in the coming period is being asked along with the question of what Turkey will do in the new era. 

-In particular, effective measures must be maintained against drug dealers. A very large 'Narco-Closure' operation was carried out. A major operation was conducted against the drug dealers who try to produce evil towards our children. We continue to follow this matter as closely as possible. 

-Regarding natural birth, what is important is to consider the health of the mother and the baby. Otherwise, it is not correct to evaluate it as an imposition on women. This is a topic that has been discussed for a long time both here and in the world.
