AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made statements following the MKYK meeting.

Çelik said, "First of all, we extend our condolences to the family of İlhan Şeşen, whose passing we learned of a few hours ago. He was a valuable artist. We pray for God's mercy upon him, may he rest in peace."

Responding to Özgür Özel's remarks, Çelik said, "CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has signed off on one of the most absurd acts in our political life by calling on the AK youth to take a stance different from our president. Özgür Özel has mistaken the AK youth for one of the factions within his own party. The AK youth are among the most determined followers of our president. The AK Party is already constantly in the field," he said.

Çelik's statements:

DEVELOPMENTS IN SYRIA

We are closely following the developments in Syria. As our president has been closely monitoring, we have reached advanced points regarding sanctions. Trump also stated that he took a positive stance, knowing the importance our president places on the lifting of sanctions. It is not about drawing a political shape for Syria, but about standing by the Syrian people during these critical days. The essential thing is for a high will to emerge regarding all groups living in unity.

When we look at Syria, we have expressed that it is valuable for all segments to live together in brotherhood in all their dimensions, and to be represented both in social life and in governance. From now on, contributing to Syria will be the most correct course of action. When Assad was in office, there was talk of Syria turning into a new Afghanistan. Now we see that these dangers are gradually being moved away from. Currently, the only destabilizing element is Israeli attacks. Israeli attacks are the primary factor threatening regional peace.

"MIT AND TSK ARE MONITORING THE DISARMAMENT PROCESS"

The agenda is a Turkey without terrorism. The agenda is the terrorist organization laying down its arms and dissolving itself. Dialogue is being maintained within the framework of the agreements between us and the Iraqi government. There are issues to be coordinated. Progress has been made on these matters. MIT and the TSK are establishing verification mechanisms for the disarmament process with the mechanisms they have set up in the field. Whether the arms are laid down or not will be confirmed. It will be checked at every stage. Regarding the Syrian part, the terrorist structure there must also come to an end.

BAHÇELİ'S CALL TO THE TBMM

Mr. Bahçeli's interventions in the process are extremely valuable in order to remain constantly focused on a Turkey without terrorism. He has made strategic interventions. He kept the focus of the discussions on a Turkey without terrorism. The leadership that the TBMM will provide is critical. The contribution of the Grand National Assembly is valuable. It is a matter under the authority of our Speaker of the Parliament.

NEW CONSTITUTION DEBATE

A new constitution is a debt we owe for the future of Turkey. There is a need for a constitution whose will is a legitimate will. At the point we have reached, we are talking about the Century of Turkey. The necessity of making a constitution that we call a civil constitution, in which the Parliament is involved, is extremely valuable both in terms of political practices and our political future. First, there is the issue of our president's re-candidacy, and a precondition of a parliamentary system is being introduced.

ERDOĞAN'S 'I HAVE NO CONCERN ABOUT CANDIDACY' REMARK

Mr. Bahçeli's statements are very valuable. We wish for our president to continue. Our president's leadership is a treasure for our state and national life.
