Speaking on CNN Türk, Elitaş addressed the early election debates, stating, "Internal party dynamics in the CHP are in trouble. There is no election on our agenda until 2028."

AKP Deputy Chairman Elitaş stated that the 5-year cost of the EYT (Retirement Age Trapped) regulation is 300 billion dollars.

Regarding pensions, Elitaş said, "There is an injustice here. Because the imbalance between those paying premiums here has increased, people want to receive the equivalent of whatever premiums they pay."

"THEY MAY BE PRESSURING ÖZEL"

Commenting on the early election debates, Elitaş said, "Internal party dynamics in the CHP are in trouble. They may be pressuring Özel. Currently, there is no election on our agenda until 2028. We see that Özgür Özel is caught in a dilemma between facts and pressures."

PENSIONS

Speaking about pensions, Mustafa Elitaş said, "There are those who are subject to different insurance boards in retirement. Agricultural BAĞKUR members pay premiums for 15 days and it counts as 30 days. They are giving wrong information to Özel.

Özel says, ‘In the past, the lowest pension was higher than the minimum wage.’ A retiree who paid premiums for 3600 days started receiving the same pension as one who paid for 7200 days.

On one hand, a citizen says, 'I have 7200 days of premiums and I receive 13 thousand and something,' while the other says, 'I have 3600 days of premiums and I receive 12,500 TL.' There is an injustice here. Because the imbalance between those paying premiums here has increased, people want to receive the equivalent of whatever premiums they pay," he said.

"THEY SAID WE WILL PAY THE COST OF EARLY RETIREMENT TOGETHER"

Responding to a question about EYT, Elitaş said, "The 5-year cost of EYT is 300 billion dollars. The manufacturing cost of the February 6 earthquake to Turkey is 60 billion dollars. A consensus formed in society. No one objected. In 2023, 2.5 million people were going to be able to retire.

It was going to rise to 4.8 million people in 2028. Probably, nearly 3 million people have retired under EYT so far. No one objected to early retirement.

Even the media asked when EYT would be enacted. 85 million people said that we would pay the cost of 4.5 million people retiring early together. They said, 'We will pay the cost of early retirement together,' and they said they would try to implement it," he said.
