AKP's reactions to TÜSİAD come one after another: 'It is impossible to approve'

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, in a post on his social media account, said, "In democracies, civil society organizations certainly express their views, suggestions, and criticisms.

However, for civil society organizations that include people with different political views among their members to make statements in the style of a political party is, at the very least, inappropriate, lacking in courtesy, and a stance far from being constructive.

Unfortunately, this negative language and approach were displayed at the TÜSİAD meeting today.

It is impossible to approve of this language and style, which we believe does not represent our business world as a whole. A positive future cannot be built by constantly spreading pessimism and acting as a harbinger of doom," he stated.

Stating that the era of tutelage over elected governments and members of the independent judiciary has ended, Yılmaz said, "A business organization is primarily expected to remember its own responsibilities and take initiative in the process of creating an economy that produces high value-added, technologically advanced, and qualified employment.

It would be socially beneficial for large capital groups that talk about democracy and the rule of law to first question the discriminatory practices, non-competitive structures, and attitudes toward different ideas within their own companies, and to engage in self-criticism regarding their past records.

During a difficult period for the world and our region, while the wounds of the greatest disaster in our history are being successfully healed and a program that strengthens the foundations of our economy is being implemented with determination, what is expected from our business world are constructive suggestions and messages that offer hope for the future.
