Al-Qassam Brigades: We repelled Israel's attack on the northwest of Gaza
The Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they repelled an attempted attack by Israeli forces on the town of Beit Lahia in the northwest of the blockaded Gaza Strip.

In a written statement issued by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, it was stated, "The enemy (Israel) attempted an attack on the town of Beit Lahia in the northwest of the Gaza Strip."
The statement noted that clashes broke out after the Al-Qassam Brigades spotted the Israeli forces, adding that they intervened against the Israeli troops with "Yasin 105" rockets and snipers, causing damage to several military vehicles.
The statement indicated that in the incident where Israeli forces were repelled, one Israeli officer was seriously injured and one soldier was lightly wounded, and that clashes were continuing in some areas.
In another statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades, it was mentioned that "Zawari" type kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used to repel the attacks launched by Israeli forces on the town of Beit Lahia.
According to a report by Israel's Channel 12 television, Israeli special forces fought against Hamas's armed elements in the northern Gaza Strip.
The report claimed that 20 armed individuals affiliated with Hamas were killed in the clashes.
The Israeli army had announced that two Israeli soldiers, one of whom was an officer, were injured.
The statement, which noted that the officer, whose rank was not specified, was seriously injured due to a mortar shell, also stated that one soldier was lightly wounded in the clash in northern Gaza.
