Alarm on the Black Sea coast: UAV reported to be carrying ammunition found on beach

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reported to be capable of carrying ammunition was discovered at Kapısuyu Beach, located on the border of Bartın and Kastamonu. The area has been cordoned off, and the beach was evacuated as a precautionary measure. It was reported that the ammunition on the UAV will be destroyed in a controlled manner by expert teams.

An unmanned aerial vehicle discovered at Kapısuyu Beach on the Black Sea coast caused tense moments in the region. Security forces took extensive measures due to the UAV found at Kapısuyu Beach in the Kurucaşile district of Bartın.

According to initial findings, it was learned that the unmanned aerial vehicle found on the beach has the capacity to carry ammunition.

BEACH EVACUATED

Following the discovery of the unmanned aerial vehicle, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.

While Kapısuyu Beach was evacuated against potential risks, extensive security measures were taken in the vicinity. Gendarmerie teams established a security cordon at the scene and brought entries and exits to the area under control.

According to information obtained from authorities, it was determined that there was ammunition on the unmanned aerial vehicle.

While an investigation has been launched in the region, it was learned that the ammunition is planned to be destroyed in a controlled manner by expert teams.

Investigations into the origin of the discovered unmanned aerial vehicle are ongoing.

It was stated that initial assessments are focusing on the possibility that the UAV could be one of the armed unmanned aerial vehicles that fell into the sea during the Ukraine-Russia war.
