A 2-story building and its surroundings were damaged following an explosion in the Payas district of Hatay.
The explosion occurred for reasons yet to be determined at a building on Yıldırım Beyazıt Street in the İstiklal Neighborhood.
Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health, police, and Metropolitan Municipality fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
In the explosion, where no one was injured, initial assessments indicate that the building, some surrounding businesses, 1 apartment building, and 2 parked cars were damaged, with debris scattered around the area.
Teams have secured the area and are continuing their investigation.
The teams are investigating the cause of the explosion, which is alleged to have occurred on the roof of the 2-story building.
