Alarming warning from Minister Özhaseki for Marmara and the Aegean: 'Starting from nighttime hours'

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki shared the weather forecast report from the General Directorate of Meteorology and warned citizens against the expected heavy rainfall and storms.

In a post on his social media account, Özhaseki stated that starting from tonight, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected in the Marmara and Aegean regions, with storms in the interior and western parts of the country, heavy precipitation in the Western Mediterranean, and storms in the Western Black Sea, Marmara, Western Mediterranean, and the Aegean Sea.
Stating that citizens should act in accordance with meteorological data and be careful and cautious against negative conditions such as flash floods, inundation, lightning, hail, strong winds, tornadoes, falling trees and poles, roof damage, and disruptions in transportation, Özhaseki said, "I urge you to carefully follow the warnings of our General Directorate of Meteorology, relevant institutions, and authorities."
