Stating that democracy, law, and justice in Turkey are under a major attack, Babacan emphasized, "Therefore, the economy is also under a major attack, and the ammunition used in this attack is a smoke bomb. It is the smoke bomb that Mr. Erdoğan dropped into the middle of the economy."
Babacan said, "Just as vehicles slow down in foggy weather, the economy, trade, and investment also slow down in a foggy climate. As long as this fog remains, it is impossible to solve Turkey's economic problems. The way to clear the fog is through law, justice, and transparency," he stated.
