Ali Koç calls for emergency meeting

Fenerbahçe's management had previously held an emergency meeting following refereeing decisions, the issue of whether or not to participate in the Turkish Cup, and rising tensions in the stands.

ALI KOÇ TO MAKE A STATEMENT

In a post shared on the yellow-navy club's official website, it was announced that Ali Koç will make a statement regarding all these issues.

Here is that post:

“The process that led our community to the Extraordinary General Assembly on April 2, 2024, within the dynamics of national football, is known to everyone.

Since that day, we have witnessed many structural changes within the Turkish Football Federation, the renewal of the president and his board, and changes to the Central Referee Committee and many referees officiating matches in the Süper Lig.

Despite this, chronic problems still persist, and this situation clearly shows that justice on the pitch cannot be ensured.

We will continue to follow the steps that the TFF, which has stated that its primary priority is to “bring justice to Turkish football” as shared with the public, will take regarding these chronic problems.

In line with the agenda of our Board of Directors meeting held today;

Developments in Turkish football since April 2, 2024,

Regarding our position on whether or not to participate in the Turkish Cup, as well as our football team's transfer planning during the mid-season break and recent events at our stadium, a statement will be made by our President Ali Y. Koç on January 8, 2025, at 17:00."
