Ali Yerlikaya announces: Terrorist organization's caves, shelters, and depots in 10 provinces destroyed

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 58 caves and shelters belonging to the terrorist organization were destroyed in 10 provinces as part of the Kahramanlar-35 operations.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the "KAHRAMANLAR-35" operation was carried out to destroy various weapons, ammunition, and explosives hidden by PKK terrorists.

In a post on his X account, Yerlikaya stated, "In the 'Kahramanlar-35' operations carried out to destroy various weapons, ammunition, and explosives that members of the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ) hid in caves and shelters in rural areas to carry out attacks during the winter months, 58 caves and shelters were destroyed in 10 provinces."

Minister Yerlikaya provided the following information regarding the operation:

"Within the scope of the operations carried out in the rural areas of Kürtün, Dörtyol, Belen, Payas, Baykan, Şırnak-Center, Gabar, Silopi, Çukurca, Dicle, Ovacık, Bestler-Dereler, Silvan, Ergani, Elbistan, Savur, Beytüşşebap, and Gercüş, 15 kilograms of explosives, 20 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, 58 detonators (to be placed in explosive devices), 10 M-16 infantry rifles, 2 AK-47 infantry rifles, 2 Mauser rifles, 1 piece of 105 mm howitzer ammunition, 1 piece of 120 mm artillery ammunition, 1 LAW weapon, 15 RPG-7 rocket launcher ammunition, 13 anti-tank ammunition, 19 improvised explosive devices, 10 hand grenades, 168 batteries, 1,568 pieces of ammunition of various types and sizes, 41 gas canisters, 300 meters of electrical cable (to prepare improvised explosive devices), and a large quantity of kitchen, medical, and living supplies were seized. The shelters prepared by the terrorist organization for logistical purposes and to carry out attacks during the winter months were identified one by one and destroyed."

Congratulating the gendarmerie teams participating in the operation, Yerlikaya said, "We are conducting operations 365 days a year, through all 4 seasons, 12 months, day and night. Our fight against terrorism will continue with determination until the last terrorist is neutralized."
