Yerlikaya made statements regarding the wildfire in Çanakkale, which caused significant damage in a short time, leading to the burning of houses and vehicles.

Stating that the fire has been brought under control, Yerlikaya noted that 16 aircraft were involved in the extinguishing efforts.

Making statements regarding the forest fire in Çanakkale, Yerlikaya said, "He stated that cooling efforts are continuing. Minister Yerlikaya said 2,220 people were evacuated in Çanakkale."

"Due to this forest fire, a total of 2,220 citizens were evacuated to safe areas, with 1,983 via land routes and 237 via sea routes from 13 locations. It is necessary to describe the sea evacuation, which was part of the evacuation efforts.

I shared this on social media yesterday as well. I sincerely appreciate each and every one of them. May God protect them. Our citizens to whom we provide temporary shelter services are also grateful. As ministers, we thank each of them again. 161 of these 2,220 citizens applied of their own volition. We are hosting them in Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) student dormitories.

Electricity cannot be provided to 1,131 subscribers, and natural gas cannot be provided to 1,400 subscribers.
