26 people have lost their lives in traffic accidents that occurred during the first 4 days of the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya has announced the toll of traffic accidents that occurred during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
On the 4th day of the holiday, 4 people lost their lives and 1,302 people were injured in 693 traffic accidents.
The number of people who have lost their lives in traffic accidents since the first day of the holiday has risen to 26.
Yerlikaya's statements are as follows:
"Throughout the holiday, our Traffic Police and Gendarmerie Traffic units are continuing their inspections on a 24-hour basis.
On the 4th day of the holiday, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in a 24-hour period:
693 traffic accidents occurred.
4 people unfortunately lost their lives.
1,302 people were injured.
343,095 vehicles were inspected.
Speed and radar citations were issued to 25,518 vehicles,
and other actions were taken against 30,390 vehicles.
In the first 4 days of the holiday (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday), unfortunately
26 people lost their lives.
5,345 people were injured. I wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to our injured."
Throughout the holiday, our Traffic Police and Gendarmerie Traffic units are continuing their inspections on a 24-hour basis.
