Miroğlu stated, "They think they will get back what they lost if Lausanne is breached, but their real fear is losing their dominance over history."

AKP Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) member Orhan Miroğlu has responded via social media to the intense public backlash regarding the terrorist organization PKK's declaration, in which it explicitly targeted the Treaty of Lausanne and the 1924 Constitution while announcing a decision to lay down arms and dissolve.

While the PKK's accusation of 'genocide' against the Republican regime and its use of phrases like "the dissolution of Lausanne" in its declaration caused public outrage, Miroğlu addressed the reactions by stating, "They are clamoring because Lausanne will be breached. They are afraid that the gains obtained by certain classes and groups along with Lausanne will vanish into history! The mask has fallen, the truth is revealed!"

Miroğlu's statement is as follows:

"Those who spent their twilight years sleeping like ants when it came to the PKK!

Those who went into hibernation!

Those who approached violence and terror with tolerance in the past!

Those who advised Öcalan, 'Yours don't know how to fight, the state won't take you seriously with a war of this intensity!'

Those who, when Öcalan gave the order to leave Turkey twenty-five years ago, went to the Imralı island, which they kept under control until 2010, and said, 'Don't let them all go, let five hundred stay!'

Those who ambushed, annihilated, and buried in mass graves those who followed the order and left!

'THEY ARE TRYING TO DISCREDIT THE DISSOLUTION DECLARATION, THEY ARE SPEWING FIRE AT THE PKK AND ÖCALAN'

Those who sanctified the trenches where thousands of Kurdish youths were buried by saying, 'Violence liberates Kurdish youth, democratic autonomy is being declared in the trenches!'

Those who have ignored even the thousands of pages of books that Kurdish intellectuals have written not at a desk, but at the cost of their blood and lives!

Those who cowardly and miserably cut off all contact with Kurdish intellectuals who dared to criticize the PKK!

Those who closed their eyes to the causes that birthed the PKK, including the Diyarbakır Prison!

As of this morning, they have become PKK experts; they are crying and moaning like children whose toys have been taken away because the PKK has ended its armed period!

They are trying to discredit the decision and declaration of dissolution and the laying down of arms, and they are spewing fire at the PKK and Öcalan!

'THEY ARE CLAMORING BECAUSE LAUSANNE WILL BE BREACHED'

They are clamoring because Lausanne will be breached!

They are afraid that the gains obtained by certain classes and groups along with Lausanne will vanish into history!

The fact that they cannot rejoice at the end of an internal conflict that has cost thousands of innocent people their lives and souls—the darkest period recorded in history—is because the Kurds are preparing to set out for themselves, perhaps for the first time in fifty years!

Without shedding blood, without firing bullets at their own people, without killing soldiers, police, or village guards!

We know and understand that it is very difficult for them to rejoice at this!
