While the university diploma of IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu is being canceled due to allegations of irregularity, a scandalous claim has emerged regarding a teacher appointment in Ordu.

According to the report by Başak Kaya from Sözcü, the sister-in-law of AKP Fatsa District Chair Yasin Sarıçiçek began working as a paid teacher despite not having diploma equivalence. This situation has brought up allegations of injustice in teacher recruitment.

CHP Ordu Deputy Seyit Torun stated in his explanation regarding the issue that teacher recruitment was carried out according to a list prepared by Yasin Sarıçiçek.

Torun noted the following:

"While our teachers who scored 75 on the KPSS are not being hired, Sarıçiçek's brother's wife started working as a paid teacher despite having no diploma equivalence and a KPSS score of 45. This is the true face of the AKP, which has been tearing the country apart for days over diplomas and seizing the will of the people. The AKP and the palace government, which have institutionalized corruption, will not be able to resist the will of the people any longer.”

Following this allegation by Torun, AKP's Sarıçiçek issued a written press statement.

The statements made by CHP Ordu Deputy Seyit Torun and the CHP Fatsa District Chair, targeting our District Chair, our party, and the Fatsa District Directorate of National Education, are a series of slanders that have nothing to do with reality, are entirely aimed at creating a perception, and are woven from start to finish with lies, irresponsibility, baselessness, and low-level political baseness.

As alleged, there is neither a kinship bond with our District Chair nor is there any irregularity.

These base allegations put forward are a manifestation of a political exhaustion and helplessness that has been accustomed to conducting politics for years through slander, lies, defamation, and immoral perception operations, and which has no words to say to the nation and no work to present. This mentality is a distorted understanding that tries to derive politics from fake victimhood and targets state institutions and honorable public officials at every opportunity to cover up its own incompetence.

However, it should be known that our discerning nation will not give credit to these shameless, low-level, and dirty political schemes today, just as it did not yesterday.

We consider it an honor to be held accountable to this noble nation. But what about you? You will not be able to account for these dirty scenarios you have carried out through slander, lies, corruption, and distortion, neither to the nation nor to history. Do not forget, this nation knows very well how to hold people accountable and how to respond when the day comes.

All our fellow citizens should know that in the face of this irresponsible, low-level, and distorted language targeting state institutions, it is our primary duty both to inform the public correctly and to expose this understanding that disrespects the will of the people of Fatsa. We will never turn a blind eye to those who try to wear down public institutions for political calculations. We sincerely believe that our people will never give credence to these distorted, ugly, and low-level smear campaigns, disinformation, and perception games targeting our party and state institutions.”
