Striking details continue to emerge in the case of former branch manager Seçil Erzan, who faces up to 226 years in prison for allegedly defrauding 18 people from the worlds of sports and business with the promise of high returns.

In the case, publicly known as the 'Fatih Terim Fund', the names of Arda Turan, Emre Belözoğlu, Fernando Muslera, Volkan Bahçekapılı, Buse Terim, and Selçuk İnan, as well as numerous business people, are mentioned.

Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz wrote that there was a relationship between Denizbank branch manager Seçil Erzan, who collected nearly 45 million dollars, and AKP Çorlu Municipal Council member Nuri Köşkdere, who is on the list of those from whom money was taken but is not a complainant or suspect in the case.

In his article, based on the testimony of Ali Yörük—who was used by Erzan as a bagman for money deliveries, entered and exited Bulgaria 86 times in four years, and is being tried while in custody—Saymaz reported: “Yörük notes that he met Erzan 17 years ago at the bank branch where he went to take out a loan. Erzan was a teller. Nuri Köşkdere was also with them. In fact, Erzan introduced Köşkdere to Yörük. Through this, Yörük got a job as a sales consultant at Köşkdere's car dealership. He rose to the position of sales manager. In his testimony, Yörük states that the married and older Köşkdere and Erzan were having a secret affair.”

Ali Yörük noted the following in his testimony:

“When I met Köşkdere, I learned that he was Erzan's lover. Erzan, even if secretly, would occasionally come to our company to meet with Köşkdere. Mr. Nuri used a keypad phone. He would sometimes use my phone to talk to Seçil. Seçil would also occasionally send photos to my phone for me to show Mr. Nuri. I would send these photos to Köşkdere.”
