Allegations of sexual abuse and prostitution at Harran University!

Harran University has announced that an investigation commission has been established regarding allegations that female graduate students were subjected to sexual abuse and forced into prostitution.

It has been alleged that individuals, including faculty members and administrators from various departments at Harran University in Şanlıurfa, sexually abused female graduate students and forced them into prostitution.

While it is claimed that there is hidden camera footage related to the scandalous allegations, a statement regarding the matter has been released by Harran University.

In a written statement issued by the university, it was stated that a systematic smear campaign has been launched against the university in some media outlets and social media accounts based on baseless and untrue allegations.

The following was noted in the statement:

"It is understood that the source of the allegations is based on mutual accusations regarding the private lives of personnel who are in the process of divorce. Despite this, after the allegations were brought to our rectorate, an investigation commission was established without delay to examine the claims, and the matter has been handled with sensitivity.

Currently, the investigation is ongoing, and no information is being shared with the public due to the confidentiality of the investigation. However, necessary information regarding the parts of the allegations that concern our university will be shared with the public upon the conclusion of the investigation.

We kindly request that no credence be given to rumors other than the statements to be made institutionally by our university. On the other hand, legal rights will be exercised, and criminal complaints will be filed with the Public Prosecutor's Office against media outlets and social media accounts that participate in this smear campaign and target our institutional structure with false news."
