Altercation between public prosecutor and restaurant staff in Ordu

In the Aybastı district of Ordu, an argument between a public prosecutor and restaurant staff escalated into an altercation.

Regarding the incident, one person was arrested, one person was placed under house arrest, and one person was released.

The incident occurred yesterday evening at a grill restaurant in the Perşembe Plateau of the Aybastı district. Mücahit Şamil Koca, who serves as a public prosecutor in the Ünye district, went to the restaurant to dine with his family.

Due to the restaurant being busy, the waiters stated that there were no empty tables and that one would be available in 15-20 minutes. Prosecutor Koca and his family walked around the area and returned to the same restaurant a while later. Seeing that there was an empty table inside, Koca began an argument after the waiters claimed the table was "reserved."

Following the argument, prosecutor Mücahit Şamil Koca and his family were removed from the restaurant. During this time, Koca’s 9-month-old son fell to the ground and sustained an injury. Following the incident, a total of 15 people, including the business owners and waiters, were detained. 12 people were released without being referred to the courthouse.

Of the three people referred to judicial authorities regarding the incident, Erkan G. was arrested, and a judicial control decision in the form of house arrest was issued for Abdüssamed A. Ercan G. was released by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after giving his statement.
