A 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Istanbul. Following the earthquake, mobile operators crashed. 

While there was congestion on communication lines immediately after the tremor, it was reported that some mobile operators were temporarily out of service. Citizens expressed on social media that they were unable to make calls or send messages.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and AFAD announced that there is no information regarding serious damage or injuries so far.
