Following Israel's intense bombardment of the Gaza Strip and its obstruction of energy and communication infrastructure, the communication that Anadolu Agency had been maintaining with difficulty with its team in Gaza City, located in the north of the region, has been completely severed for the last 3 hours.
The Israeli army had demanded yesterday that approximately 1.1 million people living in Gaza City move to the south of the region within 24 hours. The Israeli administration plans to carry out more intense military intervention in the region once this period expires.
On October 8, Israel decided to cut off water, electricity, food, and other basic services to the besieged Gaza.
9 JOURNALISTS HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES SINCE OCTOBER 7
Since October 7, 9 journalists have lost their lives in Israel's attacks on Gaza.
Most recently, according to a statement by the Lebanese government, Reuters cameraman Issam Abdallah lost his life in an attack by the Israeli army in the town of Alma al-Shaab in the south of the country, near the Israeli border, while Al Jazeera and AFP reporters were also injured.
It was observed that the vehicle targeted in the attack was completely burned.
ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7 called "Al-Aqsa Flood." While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.
Armed groups later entered settlements inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets. It was reported that 1,300 Israelis lost their lives and 3,436 Israelis were injured in the attacks from Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 1,900 people, including 614 children and 370 women, had lost their lives and 7,696 people had been injured in Israel's attacks in Gaza. Additionally, it was stated that 51 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank since October 7 in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers.
