Ankapark's waste report: 29 thousand minimum wages spent on Transformers

Ankapark, one of the symbols of the era of Melih Gökçek, the AKP member who governed Ankara for many years, was closed due to a lack of interest, but debates regarding the wasted costs continue.
EQUIVALENT TO A TOTAL OF 29 THOUSAND MINIMUM WAGES
According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality spent 17 million 657 thousand 546 TL for the purchase of the Transformers that now stand idle in Ankapark, made on June 17, 2013. The money spent was covered by the social assistance budget. The report also stated that the current value of the Transformers is 332 million lira. This figure is equivalent to approximately 29 thousand minimum wages.
According to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality sources, the cost of Ankapark is 801 million 288 thousand 824 dollars. This amount corresponds to approximately 10 billion 845 million 155 thousand 768 lira based on the exchange rate of that period.
It was noted that 381 items of toys and equipment placed in Ankapark in 2013 were purchased by the ABB Department of Social Services. Some of the toys purchased by the ABB Department of Social Services were listed as "Battle Island", "Sea Battle", "Street Fighting Game Machine", "Peak Fighter", and "Flames Of War".
