Ankara Bar Association to file criminal complaint against Court of Cassation
The Ankara Bar Association has issued a statement regarding the judicial crisis that has rocked Turkey. Reacting to the Court of Cassation's 3rd Criminal Chamber filing a criminal complaint against Constitutional Court members, the Bar stated, "We will file a criminal complaint against the president and members of the Court of Cassation's 3rd Criminal Chamber. The crime of abuse of office has been committed."

In a statement made on the X platform, the Ankara Bar Association said, "A criminal complaint will be filed by our Bar Association against the President and Members of the Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court and the Court of Cassation's 3rd Criminal Chamber."

The full statement from the Ankara Bar Association is as follows:
"Constitutional Court rulings are published immediately in the Official Gazette and bind the legislative, executive, and judicial organs, administrative authorities, and real and legal persons." (Article 153 of the Constitution). A criminal complaint will be filed by our Bar Association against the President and Members of the Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court and the Court of Cassation's 3rd Criminal Chamber, who have committed the crime of abuse of office by failing to fulfill the requirements of Article 153 of the Constitution."
