Ankara Governor's Office announces Eid al-Adha measures
The Ankara Governor's Office has announced that preparations regarding traffic, health, security, and energy services have been completed for the duration of Eid al-Adha; it also stated that restrictions have been placed on heavy vehicles exiting Ankara and that more than 46 thousand health personnel will be on duty throughout the holiday.

The Ankara Governor's Office has announced the measures taken across the province ahead of and during the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday. In a statement from the Governor's Office, it was noted that preparations have been completed and that traffic inspections will be carried out intensively by air and land throughout the holiday. Within the scope of the planning valid from May 22 to June 1, 2026, it was emphasized that it is of vital importance for drivers to pay attention to signs and markings, especially in areas where road construction work is ongoing.
TRUCKS, TOW TRUCKS, AND TANKERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL DURING CERTAIN HOURS
In order to manage traffic density and prevent accidents, trucks, tow trucks, and tankers will not be allowed to exit Ankara from 13:00 on Saturday, May 30, 2026, until 01:00 on Monday, June 1, 2026. However, vehicles carrying perishable foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, as well as medicine, medical supplies, and fuel, will be exempt from this restriction to ensure there are no disruptions in supply processes.
46 THOUSAND 427 PERSONNEL ASSIGNED FOR HEALTH SERVICES
To ensure that health services continue without interruption, 46 thousand 427 health personnel will be on duty throughout the holiday. Hygiene and food safety inspections in livestock sales and slaughter areas will be meticulously carried out by 146 veterinarians within the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Additionally, 329 personnel and 182 vehicles have been prepared by Başkent Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ to ensure there are no problems with energy supply.
GENDARMERIE AND POLICE TEAMS WILL BE IN THE FIELD SUPPORTED BY DRONES AND HELICOPTERS
Security forces will be in the field at full capacity throughout the holiday for both public order and traffic inspections. While 21 thousand 773 personnel, 1 thousand 438 teams, and air units from the police force will be on duty, Gendarmerie units will support the inspections with 2 thousand 383 personnel and 25 drones. Security measures have been raised to the highest level in areas where citizens are densely populated, such as AŞTİ, train stations, and the airport.
