In İzmir, a taxi driver was punched and beaten by a man accompanying a panicked female passenger he had picked up. The moment of the attack was captured second-by-second on the vehicle's dashcam. The attacker has been taken into custody.

A taxi driver in İzmir was attacked during an incident that occurred on February 10 at approximately 00:50 on 3513 Street in the Ferahlı neighborhood. The taxi driver, Kaya Özel (23), was attacked by a man after picking up a woman who had signaled him to stop. Özel, who was targeted by the attacker's punches, continued to be assaulted after exiting the vehicle. The incident was recorded by the in-vehicle camera.
According to information obtained by 12punto, it has been determined that the attacker was taken into custody by teams from the İzmir Public Security Branch Directorate.
It was revealed that the attacker, Metehan A. (27), has 7 prior criminal records, including "theft, insult, threat, and intentional injury."
