Another body recovered in Filo Jet disaster: Search continues for 13 people

In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the body of one more person has been recovered during search operations for the passenger vessel named Filo Jet, which sank off the coast of Kyrenia on August 30. TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced that with this latest development, the number of those who lost their lives in the disaster has risen to 15.
In his statement, Üstel noted that the number of people reported missing has dropped to 13, stating, "The body of one more of our people, who was being sought as missing in the maritime disaster, has been recovered. The number of those who lost their lives has risen to 15, and the number of missing has fallen to 13."
Stating that the necessary procedures for the identification of the recovered body have been initiated, Üstel issued a message of condolence for the deceased.
Emphasizing that all state resources have been mobilized following the disaster, Üstel said that efforts to reach the other missing persons are continuing without interruption. Üstel added, "Our belief is that we will reach all our missing persons as soon as possible."
