Another cigarette group receives a price hike

The Special Consumption Tax (SCT) increase to be applied to alcohol, cigarettes, and fuel was determined after the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the six-month inflation data. An SCT increase was applied to many items. One of these is cigarettes. The first cigarette group to receive a price hike was JTI. Cigarettes in the JTI group began to be sold in the 67-80 lira range following the SCT increase.
ANOTHER CIGARETTE GROUP RECEIVES A PRICE HIKE
Following JTI, Philip Morris also increased the prices of its products. The cheapest cigarette rose from 63 lira to 66 lira. The price of the most expensive cigarette also increased from 70 lira to 73 lira.
