Another gaffe from AKP candidate Murat Kurum

Hours before the election, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, who appeared before the public in Istanbul, held an election rally in Sultanbeyli alongside his party's candidate, Murat Kurum. Murat Kurum, who took the microphone before Erdoğan, made a notable gaffe while asking for support from the voters.

Asking for support for the district governed by Hüseyin Keskin, who is the AKP candidate in Sultanbeyli, Kurum asked the crowd, "Are we putting an end to the interregnum period in Sultanbeyli?"

However, Sultanbeyli, where Kurum wants to 'put an end to the interregnum period,' is already governed by the AKP's Hüseyin Keskin.

KURUM'S GAFFES

AKP's Istanbul candidate Kurum has drawn attention with the gaffes he has made throughout the election process.

In his statement in Sultanbeyli, Kurum had said, "Those who look for us... We have put our hard hats on our heads... we have put our boots on our feet again..."

THE COMPLETED METRO PROJECT

Here, too, Kurum promised a metro line that was already completed and set to open on Saturday, March 16, saying, "We will quickly build our Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli metro line." In response to these words from Kurum, İmamoğlu's advisor Murat Ongun wrote the following on his X account: "The line you promised is opening on Saturday, March 16, at 1:30 PM. All our citizens are invited. You are too."

ORDU STREET

Murat Kurum, who mistakenly thought that the name of Ordu Street in the Fatih district came from the province of Ordu, had previously said: "We have our Ordu Street. We have streets and values in Istanbul that carry the names of our brothers and sisters living here from all 81 provinces. Street and road improvement work will also be carried out on Ordu Street."

HE MIXED UP THE 'ÇEKMECES'

While speaking at the Küçükçekmece rally with AKP's Küçükçekmece mayoral candidate Aziz Yeniay, Kurum had confused Küçükçekmece with Büyükçekmece. Saying, "Büyükçekmece is waiting for service from us," Kurum corrected himself after warnings by saying, "Yes, Küçükçekmece," and then added, "They will definitely make this news today."
