Öztürk, who played an active role in the management processes of Sözcü TV, resigned after Özdil left his post.

Güney Öztürk began his professional career in the 1990s.

Between 2002 and 2008, he served as a business development manager at the Doğan Media Group.
From 2008 to 2018, he worked as the business development and marketing director at the Demirören Media Group. Digital growth projects and advertising revenue strategies were among the prominent works of this period.
Between 2021 and 2025, he worked as a publishing consultant and columnist at the Posta newspaper.
