AKP Sakarya MP Lütfi Bayraktar, in his speech at the AKP Karasu District Organization congress, said, "If this government hadn't been here, you wouldn't have found bread to eat for 20 years. We experienced this in Cyprus. If this government hadn't strengthened the defense industry for 20 years and hadn't established these cadres, you wouldn't have a homeland."

AKP Sakarya MP Lütfi Bayraktar, who previously found MP salaries insufficient, has added a new one to his scandalous statements.

Speaking at the 8th Ordinary Congress of the AKP Karasu District Organization, Bayraktar said, "If it weren't for the AK Party, you wouldn't have found bread, you wouldn't have a homeland."

Pouring praise on the AKP government, Bayraktar said, "There are, of course, things this government has not been able to do. If we did everything perfectly, if everything requested happened instantly... There is a place where everything requested happens instantly. Everything we say happens in heaven, however. Everything we think happens in heaven. But the way to go to heaven passes through here, friends. It passes through this struggle."

Citing Libya, Iraq, Syria, and Gaza as examples, Bayraktar stated, "We are experiencing economic difficulties, but look around you. If this government were not in power, if there were only Libya, Iraq, Syria, and Gaza around us, if this government hadn't been here, you wouldn't have found bread to eat for 20 years. We experienced this in Cyprus. If this government hadn't strengthened the defense industry for 20 years and hadn't established these cadres, you wouldn't have a homeland."

SHARP REACTION FROM CEMAL ENGİNYURT

Democrat Party Deputy Chairman and Istanbul MP Cemal Enginyurt reacted sharply to Bayraktar's scandalous words.

In a post on his social media account, Enginyurt said, "AK Party Sakarya MP Lütfi Bayraktar said, 'If it weren't for the AK Party, you wouldn't have found bread, you wouldn't have a homeland.' Get out of here, YOU INSOLENT MAN! We have existed in this homeland for a thousand years. As for the issue of hunger, no one can find bread under the AKP government. Damn your arrogance."


HE HAD FOUND THE MP SALARY INSUFFICIENT

Lütfi Bayraktar had also drawn reaction with a speech he made last year. Finding the MP salary insufficient, Bayraktar had said, "Thank God I have hazelnuts, I have savings, and so on. Otherwise, it is impossible for MPs to do this work with these salaries. I'm not saying it's low, it's very good money. But it is impossible to do this according to the work being done."
