The statement from the Diyarbakır Bar Association is as follows:

Narin Güran's brother, Baran Güran, submitted an application to our Bar Association today, September 16, 2024.

In his written application, he stated: "Regardless of who the perpetrator(s) are or their degree of kinship, I am requesting legal support from the Diyarbakır Bar Association to ensure that all those responsible for the murder of my sister Narin and the concealment of her body, as well as those who have knowledge of the incident but have failed to provide the necessary statements to the investigative authorities, are identified, punished, and that justice is served."

Our Bar Association, which has been following the file with great diligence since the first day, has joined the investigation file to represent Baran Güran, who holds the status of a complainant.

Speaking to journalists in front of the Diyarbakır Courthouse, Diyarbakır Bar Association President Nahit Eren stated, "Baran Güran, the brother who is the only family member not considered a suspect in the Narin case, has granted power of attorney to the Diyarbakır Bar Association to follow the case."
