Application to the Ministry of Justice from Pervin Buldan

Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party Van MP Pervin Buldan announced that a new legal application has been filed regarding the murders of Savaş Buldan, Adnan Yıldırım, and Hacı Karay.

In a statement on her social media account, Buldan reported that her lawyer, Bişar Alınak, has applied to the Unsolved Murders Investigation Bureau under the Ministry of Justice.

Today, our lawyer Bişar Alınak applied to the Ministry of Justice... with the request that the murders of Savaş Buldan, Adnan Yıldırım, and Hacı Karay be investigated in all their aspects, that the political and organizational connections in the background of the incident be uncovered, and that those responsible be identified and brought before the judicial authorities.

Pervin Buldan's statement is as follows:

"Today, our lawyer Bişar Alınak has filed an application with the Unsolved Murders Investigation Bureau under the Ministry of Justice, requesting that the murders of Savaş Buldan, Adnan Yıldırım, and Hacı Karay be investigated in all their aspects, that the political and organizational connections in the background of the incident be uncovered, and that those responsible be identified and brought before the judicial authorities.

This file is not merely a case from the past; it is a file that must be evaluated in the context of the unresolved political murders and the practice of impunity experienced in Turkey's recent history.

As a requirement of the principle of the rule of law, it is essential that such incidents be investigated effectively and that the material truth be revealed.

The legal process regarding the effective conduct of the investigation into the murders of Savaş Buldan, Adnan Yıldırım, and Hacı Karay, as well as the identification and prosecution of those responsible, will be followed."
