Applications for Ministry of National Defense contract soldier positions have begun

Applications for the recruitment of contract soldiers for the Ministry of National Defense's Land Forces Command have begun.

Ministry of National Defense contract soldier applications have begun.

According to information on the Ministry's website, applications can be made via the address https://personeltemin.gov.tr and through the e-Government Gateway.

Candidates who log in to the application screen via e-Government will be automatically directed to the preference screen after filling in their education, contact, military service, and other requested information in the "my information" section.

Candidates will carry out their application procedures by clicking on the line for contract soldier recruitment and will determine their preferences in order of priority.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Information regarding general details about contract non-commissioned officers and soldiers, who is eligible to apply, how and when applications are made, and how selection stages, evaluation, and classification activities are conducted is available on the Ministry's website.

The Land Forces Command 2024 (2024/1 Term) Contract Soldier Application Guide has also been published. According to the information in the guide, those who have at least a primary school diploma, have completed their military service as a non-commissioned officer or soldier, and have not turned 25 as of the first day of January of the year in which the application is made (those born on or after January 1, 1999) according to their uncorrected population registration, are eligible to apply.

Those who have not started or have not completed their military service can apply to become contract non-commissioned officers and soldiers immediately if they have reached the age of 20 as of January 1, 2024, and have not turned 25 (those born between January 1, 1999, and December 31, 2004) according to their uncorrected population registration, and meet the other application requirements.

On the other hand, according to information obtained from Ministry sources, the salaries of contract non-commissioned officers and soldiers are calculated based on the minimum wage determined for that year, according to the type of unit they serve in and their years of service.

In this context, until the July 2024 raise, a contract soldier's salary has been set at a minimum of 34 thousand 200 liras and a maximum of 53 thousand 900 liras.

Additionally, after contract non-commissioned officers and soldiers leave the Turkish Armed Forces without any fault of their own or due to the completion of their first contract or subsequent contract period, they are paid a bonus for the duration of their service. These bonuses, depending on the year of service, are paid as 97 thousand 600 liras for those who leave in their first year of service and 966 thousand 375 liras for those who leave at the end of their 7th year of service, until the July 2024 raise.
