Appointed Rector Naci İnci has withdrawn Boğaziçi University from the European University Association

It has emerged that Boğaziçi University has withdrawn from the European University Association (EUA) under the signature of appointed rector Naci İnci. 

Boğaziçi University was among the founding members of the European University Association, which was established in 2001 to provide coordination and cooperation among European universities. 

According to a report by T24, appointed rector Naci İnci notified the European University Association of the decision to withdraw in a letter dated January 25, 2025, without providing any justification.

The university community was not informed about the matter.
