Appointment to the HSK by Erdoğan
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan has appointed 4 new members to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK).

The HSK decree signed by AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, four new names have been appointed as HSK members.
General Director of Legal Services at the Ministry of Justice Serdar Ateş, President of the Istanbul Justice Commission Sait Özdemir, President of the Ankara Regional Administrative Court Bülent Küfüdür, and General Director of Personnel at the Ministry of Justice Turan Kuloğlu have become new HSK members.
Last week, Fuzuli Aydoğdu, Hakan Yüksel, Seyfi Han, Cengiz Aydemir, and Alişan Tiryaki were elected as HSK members in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly.
Hakan Yüksel, who was elected as an HSK member, was among the members who signed the decision of the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation that did not recognize the Constitutional Court's (AYM) ruling on Can Atalay. Yüksel had voted against the implementation of the AYM's Can Atalay ruling.
Former HSK Secretary General Fuzuli Aydoğdu had also come to the fore with his rulings in the Soma case.
The appointments were made in accordance with Article 159 of the Constitution and Article 18 of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors Law No. 6087.
From among the judicial judges and prosecutors, General Director of Legal Services at the Ministry of Justice Serdar Ateş, General Director of Personnel at the Ministry of Justice Turan Kuloğlu, and President of the Istanbul Judicial First Instance Court Justice Commission Sait Özdemir were appointed. From among the administrative judges and prosecutors, President of the Ankara Regional Administrative Court Bülent Küfüdür was elected as an HSK member.
