Approved in committee: Statement from Minister Tunç regarding the 9th Judicial Package

The Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws, known in the public eye as the "9th Judicial Package," has been approved by the TBMM Justice Commission.
A statement regarding the new 39-article package came from Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç.
In a statement made on his social media account, Minister Tunç recalled that the 9th Judicial Package was approved by the TBMM Justice Commission and noted that it would be discussed in the TBMM General Assembly in the coming days.
Tunç noted that the draft law includes important regulations such as increasing the effectiveness of justice services, accelerating judicial processes, ensuring effective combat against crime, strengthening the criminal justice system and legal security, ensuring the protection and expansion of fundamental rights and freedoms, strengthening the institution of the family, and expanding the areas of alternative dispute resolution methods in civil and criminal disputes.
Stating that the draft law consists of 39 articles, Tunç used the following expressions: "I wholeheartedly believe that the draft law, consisting of 39 articles that amend 20 different laws, will be approved in our Gazi Assembly through consensus with the appreciation of our deputies. Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to work with determination to make the Century of Turkey the century of justice."
