It has been announced that all events planned for the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day in Sakarya, which felt the impact of the earthquake intensely, have been cancelled. 

In a statement issued by the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, well wishes were extended to all citizens due to the earthquake, and the phrase 'May the Almighty protect our country and our city from all disasters' was used. The municipality stated that they made this decision within the framework of security measures following the earthquake.
