April 23 message from Mehmet Uçum: 'Those who oppose a terror-free Turkey will be neutralized'

Chief Advisor to the President Mehmet Uçum has released a new message on the occasion of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. In his statement titled "The First Parliament and the Transition to a Terror-Free Turkey!", Uçum drew attention with his messages, particularly regarding the Kurdish issue and the new İmralı process.

KURDS ARE AMONG THE FOUNDERS OF THE TURKISH NATION

In his message, Uçum stated, "Kurds are an original founding component of the Turkish Nation. As an inseparable part of the Turkish Nation, Kurds are the founders and permanent owners of the Republic of Turkey. The Republic of Turkey is the national state of the Kurds. The Century of Turkey is the century of Turks and Kurds."

Mehmet Uçum’s message is as follows:

“Today, we have reached the 105th anniversary of the opening of the Grand National Assembly on April 23, 1920, which we celebrate as National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

The First Parliament, which realized the initial establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey—which attained its final name in 1921 with the addition of the name Turkey—was composed of all components of the Turkish people. Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Lazs, Circassians, Georgians, and other components, who are the original elements of the Turkish people, came together in the First Parliament, which advanced the liberation process and initiated the founding process.

Together with all elements of the Turkish people, Turks and Kurds moved their struggle for their destiny against imperialism to a new stage with the First Parliament. By winning the War of Independence and founding the Republic of Turkey, they determined their own destiny together for eternity.

With the statement, “The people of Turkey who founded the Republic of Turkey are called the Turkish Nation,” Atatürk established that all components of the Turkish people, including Turks and Kurds, are original elements of the Turkish Nation. This determination became one of the fundamental founding principles of the Republic.

Since the nation is a concept that encompasses the past, present, and future, this principle remains valid today; that is, the basis of the Turkish Nation is the people of Turkey. The people of Turkey are the guarantee of our diversity and our unity as the Turkish Nation.

In terms of a terror-free Turkey, this means the following:

Kurds are an original founding component of the Turkish Nation.

As an inseparable part of the Turkish Nation, Kurds are the founders and permanent owners of the Republic of Turkey.

The Republic of Turkey is the national state of the Kurds.

The Century of Turkey is the century of Turks and Kurds.

Precisely in accordance with this paradigm, steps aimed at achieving results for the goal of a terror-free Turkey are being taken more strongly at every stage of the ongoing process. Conversely, efforts to disrupt the terror-free Turkey stage in various ways continue. Domestic and foreign anti-Turkey circles are making intense efforts to sabotage the transition to a terror-free Turkey, which is proceeding directly or indirectly, unconditionally, and without bargaining. It is very clear that those trying to create discord within the People's Alliance, and the operations carried out by using the legal fight against corruption as an excuse to pursue a strategy of chaos, are targeting a terror-free Turkey. It is understood that the state has thwarted these efforts so far and will do what is necessary from now on.

The magnificent unity and harmony in politics between President Erdoğan and Mr. Bahçeli, which is based on Turkey, the extraordinary support of the people, and the state carrying out the process with all its institutions and at full capacity, are the guarantees of the transition to a terror-free Turkey.

At the point we have reached, it is possible to make the following determinations for a terror-free Turkey:

It is a reality that the İmralı declaration is being implemented and all measures related to it have been taken.

It is clear that those who oppose and attempt to sabotage a terror-free Turkey, the dissolution of the terrorist organization with all its structures, the laying down of arms, and its surrender will be neutralized using counter-terrorism methods.

It is evident that a terror-free Turkey is not a result but a beginning, and that a new era will begin for Turkey with the achievement of the terror-free Turkey goal and the completion of this stage.

The new era will be a process that will strengthen Turkey in every respect. It is a strong presumption that we will move to a new stage where both comprehensive reforms will be made in the field of democracy and law, and national and patriotic democratic law will be concretized.

As can be seen, our final founding process, which began 105 years ago today with the opening of the Grand National Assembly and was subsequently registered with the proclamation of the Republic, will be completed following the achievement of the terror-free Turkey goal and the implementation of legal and political reforms. Thus, the reality of the Century of Turkey, with the great breakthroughs to be made by the Republic of Turkey, which has completed its establishment, will be written in golden letters in world history.
