Arda Turan speaks out about Seçil Erzan, whose trial is ongoing

Eyüpspor Manager Arda Turan spoke about Seçil Erzan. Turan stated, "I am uncomfortable with below-the-belt allegations; we went and gave our hard-earned money to the bank. In return, we received signed documents."

As a guest on the program 'Az Önce Konuştum' (I Just Spoke) with Candaş Tolga Işık, Eyüpspor Manager Arda Turan made important statements regarding the Seçil Erzan case.

"BOTH THE BANK AND THE PEOPLE ARE VICTIMS"

Turan said the following about what happened with Seçil Erzan:

"No matter what Seçil Erzan has done, she is a woman. Those who know me know that I have no reason to bow my head over money. I can work again and earn again.

Wishing someone well is a matter of courtesy; I recommend it to everyone.

There is victimization; both the bank and the people are victims. Let it be resolved appropriately. I am uncomfortable with below-the-belt allegations.

"I WOULD NOT MOCK"

We took our hard-earned money and gave it to the bank.

There is victimization here, and one must be polite to one another in the face of victimization.

If you lost money, I would ask if you needed anything and wish you well. I would not mock you.

I love Göztepe fans very much, but at the first opportunity, they brought up Seçil Erzan. Nothing will happen to me; I can work and earn. But my request is that wishing someone well is a matter of courtesy.”

“THERE IS NO SITUATION LIKE BEING OFFERED 300 TO 1"

"There is no such thing as exorbitant interest rates as described. Our money is our hard-earned money that we have scraped together since our childhood. The documents given to us were stamped documents provided inside the bank. There is no situation like 'being offered 300 to 1.'

It was just like how much anyone earned from the dollar during the pandemic period. They are being very unfair to us here. It is not as described. In this country, we signed receipts for years when receiving cash during our football careers.

I want to say this: This woman is someone who stood as a success story on the bank's social media for 15 years, someone the bank trusted very much, and who served as a branch manager in the heart of Istanbul.

From the first day to the last, I have been saying this: The bank's executives may not be at fault, but this falls under the responsibility of the bank's employee. Putting everything else aside, we are the victims. We lost money."
