Are schools in Istanbul closed on Friday, February 21?

Schools in Istanbul were closed on Thursday, February 20. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül announced on Wednesday at 15:47, "Considering the safety of our students and citizens, education has been suspended in all educational institutions (kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools, and high schools) across Istanbul on February 20, 2025."

Will the snow day continue on Friday, February 21? No decision has been made on this matter yet.

The decision on whether Friday will be a holiday is expected to be announced on Thursday afternoon.
