Argument between two friends ends in murder

The incident occurred in the Kızılpınar Atatürk neighborhood, near the cemetery. A verbal argument broke out between Vahap Öden and Nevzat Algan, who had met up, for reasons that are not yet fully known. As the intensity of the argument escalated rapidly, Öden stabbed Algan seven times in various parts of his body with a knife he was carrying. Nevzat Algan, who was taken to the hospital by medical teams called to the scene, lost his life despite all interventions.

Suspect Vahap Öden, who was caught at the scene with the murder weapon after carrying out the attack, was taken into custody by the gendarmerie.

BLACKMAIL ALLEGATIONS OVER FOOTAGE EMERGE

According to information obtained during the investigation, allegations of blackmail lie in the background of the incident. It is alleged that the deceased, Algan, secretly recorded photos and videos of Vahap Öden while he was with a woman at a hotel. It was claimed that Algan used these images to demand approximately 200 thousand TL from Öden to prevent him from showing them to his family, and that Öden had taken out a loan for this money.

Although some of the photos in Öden's possession were handed over to him, it was alleged that Algan did not provide all of the footage and demanded money again, and that the pair met in the area where the cemetery is located to resolve the dispute. However, the argument that took place after the meeting turned into violence and ended in tragedy.

TIGHT SECURITY AT THE COURTHOUSE

Vahap Öden, whose procedures were completed at the gendarmerie station, was brought to the courthouse under heavy security measures. After his interrogation at the prosecutor's office, Öden was referred to the court, where he was arrested and sent to prison.

The funeral of the late Nevzat Algan was laid to rest with the participation of his family and relatives. It was reported that a multi-faceted investigation into the murder is ongoing.
