The incident occurred in the evening hours on Ebulfez Elçibey Street in the Taşpazar neighborhood. While Ahmet İskender Evcil (19) was walking with his friend, he made eye contact with a person coming from the opposite direction. Shortly after, this individual allegedly approached Evcil, saying, "Why are you looking sideways?" and pulled a knife from his pocket.
The attacker then stabbed the young man in his right leg and quickly fled the area. Evcil was left bleeding on the ground due to the wound. Nearby citizens intervened immediately, using the young man's own belt to apply a tourniquet to reduce the bleeding.
Health and police teams arrived at the scene shortly after, and the injured man was taken to Aksaray Training and Research Hospital following initial treatment. It was learned that Evcil, who told police teams while being taken to the hospital that he did not know the attacker, is in good health.
The police have begun evaluating security cameras in the area and statements from witnesses to apprehend the perpetrator. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
