Arif Kocabıyık, who is under a travel ban, claims he went to Norway: X showed otherwise

Arif Kocabıyık, who has become well-known for his street interviews, claimed that he went to Norway despite being under a travel ban. Stating that he would not return to Turkey until the general elections, Kocabıyık said he would remain in Norway during this period.

Arif Kocabıyık, the founder and reporter of İlave TV, had previously been arrested three times in the same month on charges of 'insulting the President' and was subsequently released under judicial control, which included a travel ban. It was alleged that Kocabıyık left Turkey despite the travel ban.

In his latest post, Kocabıyık claimed that he went from Turkey to Norway "through illegal means." In his post, Kocabıyık said the following:

"Hello everyone, my respects and love. As you know, I had a travel ban. But unfortunately, due to both the economic situation and the lack of justice in the country, I had to come to Norway through illegal means.

I condemn those who put me in this situation and I say shame on them. I am thinking of returning to my country when the elections take place in three or four months. From now on, I plan to be in Oslo, Norway, for a three- or four-month period.

I really did not want to leave my country. But the conditions made it necessary. Do not make the trolls too happy.

I will not abandon my country. I will continue the struggle."
