Armed attack on CHP Youth Branch deputy

Citizens who saw a vehicle burning in a wooded area in Arnavutköy notified the police and fire department. Upon investigation, teams determined that the torched car was the same vehicle used in an armed attack against Ali Kılıç, Deputy Head of the CHP Sultangazi Youth Branch, and his friend, and that weapons were found inside.

The incident took place around 18:00 in the evening in the İstiklal neighborhood of Boğazköy, Arnavutköy.

Citizens who heard intense gunfire in the wooded area known as the Kızıltepe locality and saw flames rising from within the woods reported the situation to the police and fire department.

VEHICLE USED IN THE ARMED ATTACK

Following the reports, fire crews and numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene. During their inspection of the vehicle and its surroundings, the teams discovered 2 long-barreled weapons, known as AK-47s, in the back seats of the burning car.

Work on the car's license plate revealed that it was the vehicle used approximately 3 hours earlier in an attack on Sultangazi CHP Youth Branch Deputy Ali Kılıç and his friend Murat Yıldırım in the 75. Yıl neighborhood of Sultangazi.

The teams have launched a large-scale operation to capture the individuals who abandoned the car and fled the scene in a commercial taxi.

TREATMENT CONTINUES

Around 16:00 today, Sultangazi CHP Youth Branch Deputy Ali Kılıç, who was on his way to a barbershop with his friend Murat Yıldırım after attending a funeral in the 75. Yıl neighborhood of Sultangazi, was attacked with long-barreled weapons from the windows of a car while he was parking his own vehicle.

As a result of the attack, Kılıç was injured and taken to the hospital, while his friend escaped the attack unharmed. While teams launched an effort to capture the attackers in the luxury vehicle, it was determined that the car was torched in the evening and the individuals fled.

LISTED FOR SALE

It was observed that the luxury car, which was torched after the attack, had been listed for sale on an online sales website.

It has not yet been determined whether the license plates of the same make and model vehicle were cloned or if the car was stolen and involved in the incidents.

It was also learned that the individuals who carried out the attack fled the scene in 2 commercial taxis.
