Another incident has been added to the attacks against healthcare workers. An armed assault took place on January 31 at approximately 17:00 in front of a market located on Beşevler Street in the Konak neighborhood of Bursa.

Gürsu State Hospital Deputy Chief Physician K.Ç. was shot by 29-year-old A.A., who has a criminal record of 22 offenses, with a total of 4 rounds fired—two below the right knee and two below the left knee.

The wounded K.Ç. was taken to Bursa City Hospital.

A.A., who was involved in the shooting, fled the scene by getting into a vehicle with license plate 51 ACT 955, belonging to K.B., with whom he had arrived at the scene.

The vehicle in question was stopped by patrol teams in the Gökdere area. A search revealed that A.A. was not in the vehicle.

Efforts to locate A.A., who wounded Deputy Chief Physician K.Ç., are ongoing.
