Armored vehicle overturns on Istanbul-Izmir Highway, 11 kilograms of gold missing!

11 kilograms of gold being transported in an armored vehicle have gone missing following an accident on the Karacabey section of the Istanbul-Izmir Highway. Gendarmerie teams have launched a large-scale search and investigation in the area.

11 kilograms of gold in an armored vehicle that crashed on the Istanbul-Izmir Highway have gone missing.

The accident occurred on the Karacabey section of the Istanbul-Izmir Highway.

According to the information obtained, the armored vehicle transporting gold lost control after a tire burst while in motion.

The vehicle, which was thrown to the side of the road, came to a stop after rolling over approximately four times.

In the accident, the driver, E.Ö., and passengers R.T. and V.T., who were on duty, sustained minor injuries.

Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance after receiving initial medical intervention.

It was learned that the lives of the injured are not in danger.

11 KILOGRAMS OF GOLD MISSING

Following the accident, an inspection of the armored vehicle revealed that the 11 kilograms of gold being transported were missing.

Upon this, gendarmerie teams launched a large-scale operation in the area.

While searches were conducted with detectors along the roadside and in the surrounding area, no findings regarding the missing gold have been reached.

SERIAL NUMBERS OF THE MISSING GOLD SHARED

It was learned that company officials have shared the serial numbers of the missing gold and requested assistance from jewelers.

A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been initiated by gendarmerie teams.
