Arms smuggling operation in Gaziantep: 269 detained, 24 arrested
In an operation conducted by police teams in Gaziantep targeting individuals possessing unlicensed weapons, 269 suspects were apprehended and 24 people were arrested.

Gaziantep Provincial Police Department teams conducted an operation in January 2024 targeting individuals possessing unlicensed weapons, seizing a total of 435 weapons, including 215 unlicensed pistols, 130 unlicensed rifles, and 90 blank-firing pistols.
While legal proceedings were initiated against the 269 individuals detained in the operation, 24 people were arrested.
