The AK Party, which lost municipal control in many districts of Istanbul in the last local elections, managed to retain Arnavutköy. As the fourth largest district of Istanbul by surface area and quite rich in terms of vacant land, Arnavutköy continues to attract attention in this regard.

According to the report by Karar Newspaper, Arnavutköy Municipality, which published an advertisement in the Official Gazette, has put 12 plots of land up for sale at once. The municipality has set a total estimated value of 720 million 260 thousand 730 TL for the 12 parcels, which have a total surface area of 38 thousand 475 square meters. This figure corresponds to approximately 4 percent of Arnavutköy Municipality’s 2024 budget. The sales tender for the plots in question will be held on June 26, 2024, immediately after the holiday break.

Arnavutköy Municipality has set a very high estimated value for the plot in Durusu/Terkos, which is one of the 12 parcels placed on the sales list. Located approximately 2 kilometers west of Istanbul Airport and about one kilometer east of Lake Terkos, the plot is 20 thousand 508 square meters in size.
