Arrest made in investigation into death of Özlem Gültekin Çelik

H.Ç., one of five suspects detained in the investigation into the death of Özlem Gültekin Çelik, the doctor wife of news anchor Erhan Çelik who was in the process of divorce, has been arrested.
In the autopsy performed to determine the exact cause of death as part of the investigation, it was determined that Çelik lost her life as a result of high-dose propofol use.
Following statements from secret witnesses and examinations of mobile phones, an operation was carried out targeting suspects believed to have provided the substances that caused Çelik's death on the day of the incident.
In line with the instructions of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ç.K., F.A., H.Ç., H.Y., and P.Ç. were detained by teams from the Izmir Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Division.
Of the suspects referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, H.Ç. was arrested, while judicial control measures were decided for Ç.K., F.A., H.Y., and P.Ç.
