Arrest request for 1 person in drug investigation targeting celebrities

The prosecution statements of 11 suspects, who were detained and referred to the courthouse as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been completed. An arrest was requested for one suspect, a travel ban was requested for eight people, and judicial control measures including a travel ban were requested for two others.

The investigation initiated by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the use of drugs or stimulants is ongoing.

As part of the investigation, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command had carried out operations at 25 addresses identified in Beşiktaş, Sarıyer, Beyoğlu, Kağıthane, and Üsküdar, as well as in Muğla. During the operation, 20 suspects, including famous names, were detained.

The 20 suspects, whose interrogations were completed at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, underwent health checks at the Seyrantepe Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital and were subsequently referred to Forensic Medicine Institute units to have blood and hair samples taken. While 9 of the suspects who provided blood, hair, and urine samples were released, 11 were referred to the courthouse.

The prosecution statements of the 11 people referred to the courthouse have been completed.

Suspects Aslıhan Turanlı, Berkay Şahin, Volkan Bahçekapılı, Kübra İmren, Aycan Yağcı, Tuğçe Postoğlu, Eda Dora, and Cansu Tekin were referred to the duty magistrate judge with a request for a 'travel ban,' while Yaşar Özdaş and Hakan Aydın were referred with a request for 'judicial control' conditions including a travel ban. The prosecution referred suspect Mehmet Rahşan with a request for his arrest.
